South West Model Show at the
Bovington Tank Museum Autumn 2025

The club once again put on a display at the South West Model Autumn Show at the Tank Museum. The event has a large number of clubs exhibiting together with many traders as well as the added attraction of one of the best displays of tanks and armoured vehicles in the world.

We had five tables to display a varied selection of models including tanks, aircraft, trucks ,warships and a V1 rocket. Alan Gamblin displayed his destroyer and ferry models on the Saturday only and Steve Newell displayed a selection of 1/72 and 1/48 aircraft on the Sunday . Tony Ansell had his large HMS Fencer aircraft carrier on display but managed to sell it to another exhibitor on the Saturday afternoon .

Visitor numbers on Saturday were excellent but lower on Sunday due to an event in Weymouth causing road closures in the area .We received many compliments on our display and the standard of our models.
