Dapdune Wharf - Guildford      Saturday 8th July 2023

SCM participants.JPG
We were invited back again to this attractive venue in the centre of Guildford to put on a display of models for their annual Puffing a Wey day run by the Steam Boat association. We shared the Barge building shed with Guildford Model Engineering Society and Astolat Model railway. The steam boat people ran free trips for the public up and down the river. Geoff Young, Alan Gamblin and John Hawley attended with a variety of models and this year we featured a small part build section with Geoff’s HMS Jamaica, Alan’s MV Shanklin and John’s SS Westburn, a collier he served on in 1951. A good day again with only one brief shower and a good steady flow of interested visitors.
