Dapdune Wharf - Guildford Saturday 9th July
We were invited to put on a display at this National Trust property in the centre of Guildford at their Puffing a Wey day run by the Steam Boat Association and featuring many Victorian style steam leisure craft on the river.
Geoff Young and Alan Gamblin attended and we put on two stands. One featured Falkland conflict ships and the other consisted of WW2 vessels. We were situated in the Old Barge shed originally used for building barges which was well lit with suitable background of building descriptions and tools from days gone by. Very good weather and good footfall of interested spectators.
Models on display: Geoff Young : HMS Invincible, HMS Duke of York, HMS Warspite, HMS Black Prince.
Alan Gamblin : HMS Antrim, HMS Somali. QE2.
